In-person & Telehealth

Glimmers Psychology offers both in-person/ face to face and Telehealth appointments, meaning you can choose to have all or some sessions in-person or via Video/ Phone consultations. During the Covid-19 pandemic, it was quickly evident that most appointments could be efficiently adapted to Video or Phone meetings. Many still enjoy the ease and accessibility of Telehealth consults, whilst others prefer to come in.

Telehealth appointments closely resemble in-person sessions, and we indeed recommend you treat them alike, applying the same natural boundaries and requirements like sobriety, comfortable and appropriate dress, punctuality, being available without distractions and disruptions in a private space. Most people prefer Video sessions to allow for both visual and audio cues which enhance interpersonal connection.

In-person Sessions

Our office is in Vermont and located inside of Canterbury Clinic. There is free parking on site. Please let reception know of your arrival and they will notify your psychologist to collect you from the waiting room.

Feel free to contact us for any questions as we are happy to guide you through the process.

Video & Phone Sessions

Video sessions are conducted over Zoom which uses end-to-end encryption for privacy and sessions are never recorded. Before the appointment, you will receive an email with a Zoom link to use for logging into your video session (you can do this on a laptop, iPad or phone). You need to have the Zoom app installed on your device – it is free and has simple prompts to follow for download once you click the link emailed to you. At the first download, you type the meeting ID and Password (in the email sent to you) when you go to “Join the Meeting”. Once you have the app, at the time of your session, simply click on the link emailed and you will be admitted into the online meeting.

If you prefer a phone consult instead, you can notify your psychologist prior to your session time, and they will call you. In either case, we stringly encourage the use of headphones for ease an optimum sound quality.
